What if we could invite in all of the parts of us? The inner child parts that believed that something our parents or caregivers did or said was our fault? The parts that got really strong and helped us to become who we are today? The parts that wanted to rescue us and bring us food, alcohol, shopping and social media to distract us from the pain we felt? What if we could approach these parts with curiosity, openness and compassion?
We can absolutely do that with Integrative Somatic Parts Therapy. This form of therapy helps us map all of our parts, welcomes them in and asks them to take a seat at the table. All parts are welcome! We all have subpersonalities, and we can approach each of these parts and say to them, "You are welcome here. You belong, You are loved. You are seen and heard. You matter. I see you are tired, and I will take care of you."
In this form of therapy, we find out Inner Wise Self and we encourage and allow this truest form of us to come forward and take charge of the parts. We find this Wise Self, who knows we are enough and are ok, and we ask it to be the CEO our personality. When we do that, we can lead ourselves from a place of love and a deep knowing that we are in touch with our truest self.
